About therapy
I want you to get the care you deserve
I believe in providing a caring and safe environment for exploration of sensitive issues. This will involve navigating your inner world so you can truly understand yourself.
Psychotherapy offers you the opportunity to explore who you are in the world, and how you interact with your environment. This enables you to face life’s challenges with more resilience and compassion, for both yourself and those around you.
My approach to therapy
My approach shares its roots with humanistic, existential and phenomenological philosophies which I use in conjunction with integrative practices. This can involve the use of more practical tools such as mindfulness exercises, or Non-Violent Communication to guide us through what you choose to bring to our work together.
At the start of our work together we will agree how often we meet, how we will work together, and what you would like to focus on.
Together we will explore what it means to live in this world as you, taking into consideration your past experiences, present circumstances, and the social and cultural impact of your world on you.
Through my NHS clinical experience as both a Nurse and a Psychotherapist, I have worked with a diverse range of clients covering issues which include - but are not limited to - anxiety, depression, chronic health conditions, terminal illness, addictions and sex and sexuality.
Therapy for a More Connected Sexual Self
I offer therapy for individuals and couples exploring concerns around sex, intimacy, and relationships. My work is rooted in existential therapy, which supports people to inquire into deeper themes such as identity, meaning, freedom and connection, especially as they relate to relational and sexual life.
Alongside talk-based exploration, I place a strong emphasis on our embodied experience. How we relate to our bodies, how sensation informs emotion, and how safety and pleasure are felt, not just thought, are essential aspects of our work. Sessions often include gentle invitations to slow down, notice bodily cues and deepen into present-moment awareness.
My approach also makes space for spirituality; however, you define or experience it. Whether it’s a connection to something greater, a sense of inner wisdom, ritual or soulfulness, I welcome these dimensions as part of the therapeutic process.
I work in a way that is queer-affirming, sex-positive and kink-aware, and I welcome people of all genders, sexualities and relationship styles.
I can support you with:
Developing clearer, more connected communication in your relationships.
Understanding your relationship patterns and emotional responses.
Working through your relationship to sexual desire
Deepening your relationship with your body and reconnecting to your sexuality
Exploring gender and sexuality, including intersections with race, culture and faith
Clarifying boundaries, expressing needs and deepening embodied consent
My style is collaborative, respectful and curious. I hold space for nuance and complexity, helping you reconnect with your own inner resources, desires and truths.
If you’re considering therapy with a partner, I welcome couples and those in consensual non-monogamous partnerships.
